Elevating Healthcare Environmental Hygiene

Our MicroVantage™ process helps keep microfiber clean and maintain its effectiveness

In healthcare, the stakes are high. Maintaining a hygienic environment is not just a preference, it’s a critical necessity. The cleanliness of hospitals directly impacts patient outcomes, staff well-being, and the overall quality of care. To help promote a clean and safe environment for patients and providers, Vestis offers MicroVantage™, a cutting-edge process to maintain microfiber effectiveness.

The Dangers of Surface Contamination in Healthcare

A staggering 66% of hospital surfaces remain contaminated despite rigorous cleaning efforts1. This excess bioburden poses significant risks, including the potential for cross-contamination and the increased prevalence of Hospital-Associated Infections (HAIs). Surface contamination can impact patient health and recovery and puts healthcare workers at risk.

Microfiber for Better Hygiene

Microfiber has become an essential tool in healthcare settings for its exceptional cleaning and hygienic properties. Composed of ultra-fine fibers, this material can penetrate surface pores more effectively than cotton, and it has other advantages, including:

  • Highly Effective Cleaning: Microfiber removes dirt, dust and pathogens from various surfaces.
  • Microbial Reduction: Its structure reduces microbial contamination, helping to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Absorbency: Microfiber absorbs liquids efficiently, facilitating effective cleaning and spill management.
  • Durability: Known for its resilience, microfiber withstands rigorous use.
  • Lint-Free: Microfiber leaves surfaces lint-free, enhancing the overall cleanliness of the environment.

The MicroVantage™ Four-Step Process

How microfiber is cared for can directly impact its effectiveness. That’s why we created MicroVantage™, our proprietary four-step process which supports infection prevention protocols by cleaning and preserving the effectiveness of your microfiber products.

Step 1: Separate

The process begins by separating microfiber from other textiles, preserving fiber integrity.

Step 2: Sanitize

Our sanitizing wash process reduces pathogens by an impressive 99.9%2. This science-backed process adheres to Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) handling requirements and aligns with CDC guidelines for healthcare laundry, providing an advanced level of clean.

Step 3: Substitute

Vestis inspects microfiber products at our processing facility to identify any missing or damaged items. If we find issues, we’ll replace it with a new product.

Step 4: Service

Our Route Sales Representatives (RSRs) replenish and monitor inventory. Every RSR is trained in the handling and transportation of BBP-bearing textiles.

Ceiling-to-Floor Cleaning for Greater Peace of Mind

A methodical top-to-bottom approach is essential for comprehensive cleaning in healthcare facilities. Vestis provides a suite of tools, including microfiber high dusters, wipes and mops, that are designed for out-of-reach places and high-touch surfaces.

Clean with Confidence

Keeping healthcare facilities clean and safe is a big job. With MicroVantage™, you can be confident you are helping keep patients and your hard-working healthcare team safe from contamination.

Vestis is Your Partner in Environmental Cleaning

The Vestis MicroVantage™ process leads the way in the care of microfiber for healthcare facilities.
